Manomet Rock AB is my investment and consulting firm, founded by me, Per Edström. With a background of launching multiple companies and investing in even more, Manomet Rock serves as the platform where I consult and invest in startups, either as a founder or a partner.
I choose to work closely with just one or two startups at a time because maintaining focus is critical. However, I also engage in mentorship and board positions across several companies, which I find both inspiring and an excellent way to build networks.
As of spring 2024, I’ve co-founded seven startups and have been actively involved in many others. I don’t consider myself a traditional investor, as I tend to get deeply involved with the startups I support. Typical investors often hedge their bets by diversifying investments and cutting losses when things get tough. But that’s not how I operate. I believe that’s why some great entrepreneurs don’t necessarily make good investors, and vice versa.
