Welcome to Manomet Rock.
The name “Manomet Rock” is inspired by the small village of Manomet, located just south of Plymouth, Massachusetts. There’s even a local legend that Pocahontas herself may have originated from this area, which isn’t too far-fetched considering the first pilgrims landed in Plymouth.
For many years, I owned a beachfront summer house there, and every morning I’d walk past a large, pointed rock on the beach that withstood the harsh fall storms year after year. Just like that rock, we stand resilient.
Above is a photo of Pocahontas’ great-great-granddaughter sitting on Manomet Rock. (Well, not really—it’s actually a Midjourney AI rendering from a prompt with that description!)
